Strategic Planning

Coaching for DEI strategy can be an organizational game changer. Many organizations do not have a Chief Diversity Officer and even if they do, it may be hard to connect the dots between DEI theory and professional practice.

GELLC functions at the center of a larger intersection of coaching, consulting, mentoring, dialogue, and racial healing circles as tools for responding to social unrest and injustice. Coaching can be used for leaders (not defined by role) who are authentically invested in serving as an empowered contributor to an aspiring multicultural organization (Jackson, 2006). Asking questions within the “discomfort zone” – the distinct moments when the mind is most open to learning – will be part of GELLC’s ongoing practice (Reynolds, 2014).

GELLC’s Strategic Planning Stepwise Approach Includes:

  1. Data Collection: Quantitative, Qualitative, Observations and Benchmarking.

  2. Recommendations for Change

  3. Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing of Strategic Planning Team

  4. Introduction to Change Management Processing

  5. Action Planning Using Design Thinking

  6. Strategic Planning Drafting

  7. Testing

  8. Application
